Privacy Policy

Draft — subject to Philippine legal review. This version is provided for the proof-of-concept stage and may change before public launch.

This Privacy Policy explains how Nauie handles personal information, with the intention of complying with the Philippine Data Privacy Act of 2012 (Republic Act No. 10173). It will be finalised after legal review.

What we collect

  • Account information: full name, display name, email, optional mobile number, city or municipality, password (stored only as a secure hash), age confirmation and the versions of the legal documents you accepted.
  • Profile information you choose to publish: worker headline, bio, skills, service area, availability, indicative rates, portfolio and public contact channels.
  • Credentials & Checks documents: stored privately. Only you and authorised Nauie verifiers can view them; each verifier access is recorded. Reference numbers are encrypted.
  • Activity: saved workers, contact events (which contact channel you opened, and when), reports you submit, notifications, and basic security logs. IP addresses used for rate limiting and analytics are stored as one-way hashes where possible.

How we use it

To run your account, show the public parts of profiles you chose to publish, help customers find relevant workers near them, review documents you submit, keep the platform safe (rate limits, reports, suspension), send you notifications, and improve Nauie. Search ranking uses explainable components such as location and skill match — there is no hidden "score" about you.

What is public

Only the fields listed as public on each profile. Private contact values are revealed only to signed-in users who choose to contact you, and every reveal is recorded. Document numbers, document images, exact issue and expiry dates, reports and private assessment history are never public.

Photos and location data

Images you upload are re-processed and their embedded metadata (including GPS location) is removed.

Retention and deletion

We keep information only as long as needed for the purposes above and for legal, security and audit obligations. When you close your account, public profiles are removed; some records (such as legal acceptances and audit history) are kept privately where the law or platform integrity requires it.

Your rights

You may ask to access, correct or delete your personal information, object to processing, or file a complaint with the National Privacy Commission. Send requests through the Contact page (category "Legal & privacy").
